Piracy: the sports industry "needs to create a model like Spotify" (A. Briceno, beIN Sports)

"It's a very complicated achievement to get (a streaming model like the Spotify music platform) because we are so complex in this industry, but I think at some point we definitely need to have that conversation and find out a model where we all contribute and create something like that," said Antonio Briceno, deputy managing director of beIN Sports' North America division, at the Sportel conference in Miami (Florida, USA), on 04/03/2020.

"In the music industry, I remember it was the same feudalism, and then all of a sudden... they were able to extract value, a low value, but for many transactions, and make people again do something that they were doing in a legal way," added Antonio Briceno.
