Covid-19: LaLiga matches behind closed doors "for at least the next two weeks" until 24/03/2020

"In accordance with information from the High Council of sports (CSD), LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank matches will be played behind closed doors, starting today (10/03/2020) and for at least the next two weeks (until 24/03/2020)," announced LaLiga on 10/03/2020, in the face of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, which has already affected more than 1,500 people and left 35 dead in Spain (as of 10/03/2020). Other European football bodies have also taken preventive measures (see below).

LaLiga Santander's postponed Matchday 24 game, Sociedad Deportiva Eibar - Real Sociedad de Futbol, scheduled for 10/03/2020 and all matches on Matchdays 28 and 29 will be played behind closed doors. The same applies to the games on Matchdays 32 and 33 of the LaLiga SmartBank season. A total of 43 matches will be played behind closed doors.
