Covid-19: AC Milan players and directors donate a day's wages totaling €250,000 to Lombardy (ITA)

AC Milan (Serie A TIM) and Fondazione Milan, the club's foundation, are donating €250,000 to AREU (Azienda Regionale Emergenza Urgenza), the emergency branch of the Lombardy regional government, in order to support its "efforts to provide urgent care to those hospitalised by the virus (Covid-19)," announced the club on 09/03/2020.

Lombardy, of which Milan is the capital, is the Italian region most affected by the Coronavirus Covid-19, an epidemic that began in China at the end of December 2019 and has already affected more than 10,000 people and caused more than 630 deaths in Italy as of 10/03/2020.

"After the €250,000 donation made to AREU, AC Milan's players and directors have added their support, each of them donating a day's wages to help address the ongoing health emergency in Italy. We all feel the same sense of responsibility to follow the guidelines set out by our government institutions to help contain the virus, but we can also find ways to give our support to those who are working tirelessly to care for and save those who are affected by the virus," said the Milan club on…
