adidas: a turnover of €23.6bn in 2019 (+7.9%) and operating profit of €2.66bn (+12.4%)

adidas Group posted a turnover of €23.6bn for the financial year 2019 (from 01/01 to 31/12/2019), up 7.9% compared to 2018 (€21.9bn) on a constant perimeter basis, announced the German equipment manufacturer on 11/03/2020. According to the group, "currency-neutral sales" increased by 6% between 2018 and 2019.

The adidas brand accounts for 92.7% of the group's sales, at €21.5bn in 2019 compared to 90.3% in 2018 (€19.85bn). Sales of the brand's subsidiary Reebok, increased from €1.67bn in 2018 to €1.74bn in 2019, with the brand returning "to growth in 2019, with currency-neutral revenues up 2% versus the prior year," said adidas.

Asia-Pacific is adidas' largest market representing €8bn in turnover, or 33.8% of the group's total, ahead of Western Europe (€6.07bn, 25.7%) and North America (€5.3bn, 22.4%).

adidas posted an operating profit of €2.66bn, up 12.4% compared to 2018 (€2.36bn). The group's net profit amounted to nearly €1.97bn on 31/12/2019, up 16% compared to the previous year (€1.7bn).
