Covid-19: Lega Serie A recommends clubs not participating in Europe to suspend training for 7 days

"In view of the interruption of the Championship until 03/04/2020, it is strongly recommended that clubs not taking part in the European Cups should suspend training for seven days, unless subsequently indicated otherwise," said Lega Serie A on 11/03/2020.

"The players of these teams will be given specific instructions on appropriate conduct during this period. It is strongly recommended that they stay at home in close contact with medical staff, avoiding living quarters and social contacts that are not strictly necessary," added the Italian professional league.

All sporting events were suspended throughout Italy until Friday 03/04/2020, by Giuseppe Conte, Prime Minister of Italy, on 09/03/2020. The pandemic that began in China at the end of December 2019 has already affected more than 12,000 people in Italy and has caused more than 820 deaths as of 11/03/2020.
