Covid-19: UEFA invites federations, leagues, clubs and players to a video conference on 17/03/2020

"In the light of the ongoing developments in the spread of COVID-19 across Europe and the changing analysis of the World Health Organisation (WHO), UEFA has today invited representatives of its 55 member associations, together with the boards of the European Club Association and the European Leagues and a representative of FIFPro, to attend meetings by video conference on Tuesday 17/03/2010 to discuss European football's response to the outbreak," announced UEFA on 12/03/2020.

"Discussions will include all domestic and European competitions, including Euro 2020," said the European body.

UEFA and European football's leaders are trying to find a coordinated and coherent response to the unprecedented situation created by the Coronavirus pandemic, which has already affected more than 120,000 people worldwide and claimed more than 4,500 lives as of 11/03/2020. Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Portugal have decided to postpone the next matchdays of their respective leagues. France has opted to play behind closed doors (until 15/04/2020), as has the Bundesliga, but on a case-by-case…
