Covid-19: Premier League, EFL, WSL and international matches postponed until 03/04/2020

"Premier League, The FA, EFL (Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One and Two) and Barclay's FA Women's Super League have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England. Following a meeting of shareholders today, it was unanimously decided to suspend the Premier League with the intention of returning on 04/04/2020, subject to medical advice and conditions at the time," announced the English League on 13/03/2020, in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic which has already affected over 132,500 people worldwide and killed nearly 5000, according to the World Heath Organisation on 13/03/2020.

The suspension of football matches in England covers The Emirates FA Cup, for which the quarterfinals (Leicester City FC - Chelsea FC, Sheffield United FC - Arsenal FC, Newcastle United FC - Manchester City FC and Norwich City FC - Manchester United FC) scheduled on 21 and 22/03/2020 have also been postponed. The England national team's friendlies versus Italy and Denmark scheduled on 27/03/2020 and 31/03/2020 respectively, will not go ahead.
