Covid-19: Ligue 1 Conforama and Domino's Ligue 2 suspended by the LFP "until further notice"

"Following the announcements by the President of the Republic (Emmanuel Macron) in order to respond to the health crisis linked to Covid-19, the LFP board of directors unanimously decided to immediately suspend the Ligue 1 Conforama and Domino's Ligue 2 championships until further notice," announced the French Professional Football League on Friday 13/03/2020.

In a televised address on 12/03/2020 at 20:00 CET, Emmanuel Macron announced several measures to try to stem the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) which has already affected more than 2,800 people in France and caused more than 60 dead. The most dramatic measure is the closure of all day cares and all educational establishments (schools, colleges, high schools, universities) from Monday 16/03/2020 until further notice.
