Covid-19: AS Roma launches a fundraiser to support the Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital in Rome (ITA)

AS Roma (Serie A TIM) has launched a fundraising campaign on the crowdfunding platform GoFundMe, to enable fans of the club to make a donation to Rome's (ITA) Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital to support the hospital - "the epicenter of the battle in Italy to save the lives of those infected by the disease all over the country" - in its handling of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak on 12/03/2020. The amount already raised through the fundraiser is €256,524 as of 17/03/2020.

"Given the national emergency, the money we are hoping to raise with the help of you, the public, will be used by the hospital to purchase clinical diagnostic equipment to improve infected patient care and essential supplies to facilitate the work of the doctors and nurses treating the virus. Every donation, big or small, can help save someone's life," said the Italian club, regarding the Coronavirus pandemic, which has already infected over 27,980 people and killed over 2,158 in Italy as of 17/03/2020.
