Covid-19: Nike closes stores worldwide (USA, Western Europe, Australia...) from 16 to 27/03/2020

Nike is closing several of its stores around the world (United States, Canada, Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand) from Monday 16 to Friday 27/03/2020, according to the American equipment manufacturer on 15/03/2020, which is taking steps to deal with the Coronavirus epidemic.

"Customers can continue to shop on Nike.com and on our Nike apps. We are taking additional steps in other Nike-managed facilities, including the option to work from home, staggered work schedules, social distancing and additional safety and cleaning steps to help protect and support our teammates," said the company, which has 1,152 stores worldwide (as of 2019). 

"Our Nike-owned stores in South Korea, Japan, most of China and in many other countries are currently open and will continue their normal operations," said Nike.

Under Armour, New Balance and Decathlon have also announced the closure of some of their stores (see below).
