adidas is closing several of its stores around the world (USA, Western Europe...) until 29/03/2020, according to the German equipment manufacturer on 18/03/2020, as it prepares to deal with the Coronavirus epidemic. adidas and Reebok (subsidiary of the group) stores have already been closed in France since 15/03/2020.

"At adidas, the health and safety of our employees, consumers and partners is our No. 1 priority. In an effort to create a safe work environment in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and to help limit the spread of the coronavirus, we continue to act upon the applicable local authorities' directives across all adidas offices, retail and distribution center locations globally. This means that in some regions, Adidas-owned stores are closing temporarily, depending on official regulations," said the German brand.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America and Russia, adidas stores remain open. Nike, Under Armour, New Balance and Decathlon have also announced the closure of some of their stores (see below).
