Covid-19: "Mid or late May latest start date to complete season by 30/06/2020" (J. Tebas, LaLiga)

"The fundamental scenario is that in the middle, or late May, is the latest start date so that we can complete the season on 30/06/2020. The scenario may also depend on certain Champions League matches being played on the weekend, which could give us some leeway," said Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, to the Spanish daily El Pais on 19/03/2020.

Together with Richard Masters, chief executive of the Premier League, a European Leagues director, three UEFA representatives and three ECA representatives, Javier Tebas is part of the working group set up by the European Confederation on 17/03/2020 "established to examine relevant calendar matters and devise solutions allowing for the resumption and/or conclusion of the current season in a coherent manner."
