LaLiga Santander: Antoni Alegre appointed marketing and commercial director of RCD Espanyol

Antoni Alegre has been appointed as marketing and commercial director of RCD Espanyol, according to the Catalan club on 16/03/2020.

Alegre, who previously served as RCD Espanyol's marketing director from July 2011 until November 2018, then as director of sponsorship, hospitality and new business at RCD Espanyol from November 2018 until present, succeeds Agustí Filomeno who held the position of marketing and commercial director of the club from October 2018 until 13/03/2020.

"With this re-organisation, the club intends to unite the two areas mentioned in a single direction and, in this way, provide the entity with a smaller and more executive structure," said the Catalan club.

In January, the board of directors at RCD Espanyol also appointed José María Durán, former CEO of Getafe CF (LaLiga Santander), as the new CEO of the Catalan club on 30/01/2019. Durán succeeded Roger Guasch, whose departure was announced on 16/12/2019 (see below).
