Brazil 2014: Adidas and Sport Recife introduce 3 shirts in colours of hosted countries

Adidas and the Brazilian club Sport Recife (Serie A) introduced one shirt each in honour of Germany, Mexico and Japan on 16/04/2014. The German brand is the kit supplier for these three national teams, who will all play in Recife, capital of the State of Pernambuco, in the group stage of the 2014 World Cup (Brazil, 12/06 to 13/07/2014).

Each shirt says "welcome" in the country's language and bears its flag. Adidas is offering a white shirt for Germany, green for Mexico, and fluorescent yellow for Japan. The German kit supplier partnered with Sport Recife on 13/01/2014. Their four-year contract expires after the 2018 season.

The new, national-team-coloured shirts will be introduced at the first match of the Brazilian championship in 2014, with the team facing off with FC Santos, on 20/04/2014. Shirts in the traditional colours of Sport Recife will be presented in mid-May 2014.
