Manchester United: temporary workers at Old Trafford to be paid until end of season no matter what

"Manchester United FC (Premier League) will pay all its loyal matchday and non-matchday casual workers, should Premier League games be cancelled or played behind closed doors for the remainder of this season (2019-20)," announced the club on 19/03/2020. 

"This goodwill gesture reflects the club's desire to reduce the financial uncertainty facing its casual workforce, and is in recognition of the crucial role they play in delivering services to supporters," added Manchester United, who are expected to play four more league matches at Old Trafford (74,879 capacity) between now and the end of the season (in addition to at least one Europa League match), while the Premier League has been suspended until at least 30/04/2020 (see below).

Payments "will be made to all matchday and non-matchday casual workers who have worked for the club in the past three months," said the Manchester club. "We rely on our outstanding staff to deliver an exceptional service and experience to fans at Old Trafford. We understand that these are unprecedented circumstances and want to give them security…
