Covid-19: FIFA to show repeats of Men's and Women's World Cup matches online from 21/03/2020

From 21/03/2020, FIFA will be rebroadcasting full matches of the Men's and Women's World Cups, for the first time, on its official website, YouTube channel and on the Chinese social network Weibo, "until regular football activities are restored across the world," announced the international body on 19/03/2020.

"The replays will provide an immersive experience with extensive social media engagement providing fans the opportunity across the globe to select their favourite matches to be re-broadcast until further notice," said FIFA, which will be providing "full match replays of more than 30 unforgettable games."

The first men's match chosen by a fan vote, was Spain-Netherlands (1-5), group stage match of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, rebroadcast on Saturday 21/03/2020 (at 15:00 CET) while the first women's game was England - United States (1-2), semi-final of the 2019 World Cup in France, rebroadcast on Sunday 22/03/2020 (at 18:00 CET).

Other broadcasters have already started to rebroadcast World Cup matches, such as the pay-TV operator Sky Italia, which has been broadcasting matches…
