Covid-19: AS Roma (Serie A TIM) delivers 26,500 masks to eight hospitals in the Italian capital

AS Roma (Serie A TIM) has delivered 26,500 FFP2 and FFP3 protective masks to eight hospitals and medical centres in and around the Italian capital between 17 and 23/03/2020, announced the club, which is continuing its support for the fight against the Coronavirus. The pandemic has already affected more than 59,000 people in Italy and caused more than 5,400 deaths (as of 22/03/2020).

25,000 FFP2 masks and 1,500 FFP3 masks were distributed to the Ares 118 Emergency Centre, the Umberto I Polyclinic, the Columbus-Gemelli Hospital, the Tor Vergata Polyclinic, the Sant'Andrea Hospital and the Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital, among others. Sant'Andrea Hospital and Tor Vergata Polyclinic also received sixty 500ml bottles of hand sanitizer each.

This equipment is being financed by the fundraising campaign that AS Roma launched on the GoFundMe crowdfunding platform on 12/03/2020. "Officials from the club and its charity arm, Roma Cares, are working directly with medical staff to ensure they are provided with exactly what they need during the current crisis," added the Italian club.
