South Africa: Le Coq Sportif succeeds Nike as equipment supplier of the national teams for 2020-2025

Le Coq Sportif has become the official equipment supplier of the SAFA (South African Football Association) for its men's and women's national teams, from 01/06/2020 for five seasons (2020-2025), confirmed the French group to News Tank Football on 25/03/2020. Le Coq Sportif succeeds Nike, equipment supplier of the South Africa's national teams since 2014.

The French brand initially returned to the international football scene by becoming the equipment supplier of Cameroonian national teams on 18/04/2019. Prior to the deal, Le Coq Sportif had not signed any international football agreements since the end of its partnership with the Algerian national team (2004-2009).

"We're really excited about the deal, we've signed a five-year deal with SAFA starting officially from 01/06/2020, however with the delays due to the virus we’re not sure when the players will get to wear it for the first time.
