"In facing the emergency caused by the spread of Covid-19, the Italian Football Federation has offered up the Coverciano Federal Training Centre (near Florence, ITA) to the Florentine authorities, offering the hotel and auditorium as places to house those under medical supervision as well as to provide bed spaces for patients recovering from illness," announced the FIGC on 26/03/2020.

Following the example of the FIGC and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), which has offered the authorities the national team hotel near Madrid (ESP), the sports ecosystem, whose competitions have come to a standstill due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, is setting up numerous initiatives to show solidarity and deal with the health crisis including: free access to media content, donations and pledges, fundraisers for hospitals, dedicated charity auctions, the use of stadiums, etc.
