Covid-19: Belgian Pro League launches an eSports competition "to offer fans a much-needed break"

The Pro League has launched its first eSports competition, the Proximus Pro League e-Cup, on the FIFA 20 video game (published EA Sports) "in order to virtually continue the Pro League and the competitions temporarily suspended due to Covid-19," announced the Belgian football league on 21/03/2020. The Proximus Pro League e-Cup began on 24/03 and will last until 30/04/2020. Each day participants have "the chance to win great football prizes," added the League.

"In order to offer football and FIFA 20 fans a much-needed break in the coming weeks, all fans of the game will be able to compete against each other. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, players can prepare their controllers to face other football fans," said the Pro League, which on 12/03/2020 suspended all its competitions, including the Jupiler Pro League, "until 03/04/2020."
