"Our fundraising campaign to support Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital in Rome (ITA) has just today exceeded the initial target of €500,000," announced AS Roma on 25/03/2020. Launched on the crowdfunding platform GoFundMe on 12/03/2020, the fundraiser has already reached €538,000 as of 30/03/2020.

"We've already used money from your donations to buy eight urgently required ventilators and eight intensive care beds for the hospital. The Coronavirus outbreak is still being fought, however, and our doctors, nurses and all other medical staff still need all the support and assistance they can get to fight the pandemic. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a huge difference," added the Roman club, while Covid-19 had already killed more than 10,770 people in Italy as of 30/03/2020.

AS Roma had previously donated 1,500 FFP3 protective masks, 2,000 surgical masks and 60 bottles of hand sanitising gel to the Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital on 06/03/2020.
