2015-2018 European Cups: beIN Sports acquires TV rights for four Asian countries

The Qatari pay-TV company, beIN Sports, acquired the TV rights for the 2015-2018 cycle of the Champions League and Europa League in Indonesia, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, announced UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), on 17/04/2014.

In Indonesia, beIN Sports will broadcast two live matches of the Champions League and Europa League per week during each round of competition, as well as highlights of all fixtures of the European Cups. The content will be broadcast on beIN Sports 1 and 2.

In Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, beIN Sports 1 will broadcast each matchday of competition live, including two Champions League matches and two Europa League matches, as well as summaries of all the other games.

beIN Sports has broadcast in Indonesia since 01/07/2014 and in Thailand since 05/02/2014, but does not currently operate in Laos or Cambodia. The identity of the other broadcasters who have acquired rights to broadcast the European Cup for 2015-2018 for these four Asian countries had not yet been revealed by UEFA as of 17/04/2014.
