Covid-19: Fiorentina gives an extra €400,000 to the Careggi and Santa Maria Nuova Onlus Foundations

ACF Fiorentina (Serie A TIM) has donated an additional €400,000 to both the Careggi Foundation and the Santa Maria Nuova Onlus Foundation, in order to provide extra financial support to Florence's (ITA) main hospitals in the face of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis, on 27/03/2020. "€650,000 is the total amount donated so far to aid the fight against Covid-19," said the club.

"This huge sum was made possible thanks to the combined help of all the people who donated to this successful fundraising campaign established by president Rocco Commisso, his wife Catherine, his son Giuseppe and the Viola Family," said ACF Fiorentina.

ACF Fiorentina launched the "Forza e Cuore" (Strength and Heart) fundraising campaign on the crowdfunding platform GoFundMe to enable fans of the club to make donations to the Careggi Fondation and Santa Maria Nuova Onlus Foundation, on 18/03/2020. The virus has already affected 105,792 people and claimed 12,428 lives in Italy as of 01/04/2020.
