Covid-19/Tennis: IMG Arena launches a virtual tournament to help betting partners "fill the void"

IMG Arena has launched, in partnership with ATP Media, a branch of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) dedicated to the production and distribution of the ATP Tour, "an official virtual tennis product featuring logos from the ATP Masters 1000 series along with official tournament names, to deliver an authentic, fan-first experience," said the subsidiary of IMG that specialises in sports betting operators on 30/03/2020. "The game will be available in April 2020 and will help sportsbook partners fill the void whilst the ATP Tour is suspended."

"Due to the continuing outbreak of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), all ATP and WTA tournaments in the Spring clay-court swing will not be held as scheduled," said the bodies in charge of the two professional tennis circuits on 18/03/2020. The ATP Tour (men's professional tennis season) is now suspended until 07/06/2020.
