Covid-19: Ineos, owner of OGC Nice (Ligue 1 Conforama), to build a hand santizer factory in France

Ineos, owner of OGC Nice (Ligue 1 Conforama), is to build a new hand sanitizer factory in Lavéra (FRA) in "10 days" in order to "manufacture 1 million bottles per month," announced the company that specialises in the chemical sector on 31/03/2020. This initiative follows on the plants that have been established in Grangemouth (Scotland) and Herne (Germany).

In response to the severe European disinfectant shortage linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, "the company plans to focus on the needs of primary care and medical services, as well as the manufacture of hand sanitizers in pocket size for personal use by people across France and Europe," said Ineos, which also owns and is title sponsor of an eponymous cycling and sailing team.

"The company is participating in talks with a network of points of sale in Europe. Supplies to hospitals will be free during the crisis period and the public will be able to purchase bottles from retailers," said Ineos, which will be making hand sanitizers available to hospitals, schools, workplaces, pharmacies and supermarkets.
