Covid-19: UEFA postpones men's and women's national team matches planned for June 2020

"All national team matches for men and women due to be played in June 2020 are postponed until further notice. This includes the play-off matches for Euro 2020 and qualifying matches for Women's Euro 2021," announced UEFA on 01/04/2020, at the end of a video conference held with the general secretaries of the European Confederation's 55 member associations and following "recommendations made by the working groups created on 17/03/2020."

This decision increases the chances of finishing the 2019-20 domestic championships, as well as the 2019-20 European Cups, that have been suspended since mid-March 2020.

"All other UEFA competition matches (notably the 2019-20 European Cups), including the centralised international friendly matches, remain postponed until further notice," added UEFA, while the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has claimed the lives of more than 47,200 people worldwide as of 02/04/2020.
