LaLiga Santander: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (April 2020)

The 20 clubs competing in the 2019-20 LaLiga Santander season have more than 506 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/04/2019. This total makes LaLiga Santander the second most popular European Top 5 league on all three social networks, behind the Premier League, with an average of 25.3 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with over 231 million fans, while FC Barcelona, second, with a total of 220 million, are ahead of Club Atlético de Madrid in third place with 27.8 million.

Club Deportivo Leganés was the club that posted the best percentage growth during the month of March on Instagram (+6.7%), while Getafe CF posted the best growth on Twitter (+2.4%) and Real Betis Balompié on Facebook (+0.6%).

On Instagram, Real Madrid CF posted the best increase in absolute value among the European Top 5 clubs in March 2020 (+1.3 million followers), ahead of Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +987,000) and FC Barcelona (+946,000).
