Brazil 2014: Jérôme Valcke visiting Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Cuiaba and Fortaleza from 22 to 24/04/2014

Jérôme Valcke, FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) general secretary, is visiting four host cities of the 2014 World Cup: Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Cuiaba and Fortaleza, from 22 to 24/04/2014.

Jérôme Valcke is accompanied by Aldo Rebelo, the Brazilian Minister of Sport, and members of the LOC (Local Organising Committee), including the two former internationals, Ronaldo and Bebeto.

The programme includes meetings with local officials and visits to three stadiums (Sao Paulo, Curitiba and Cuiaba) that are still not completed with nearly 50 days until the opening match. The delegation will also go to the Aterro de Iracema in Fortaleza to visit the "Fan Fest", an area that welcomes fans and allows them to follow the matches on giant screens.

A meeting of the LOC will take place at the end of these visits, on 25/04/2014 in Rio de Janeiro.

    • It will be inaugurated on 27/04/2014 with a match between Corinthians and Flamengo.
