Covid-19/Germany: daily meetings being held between the Federation, League and regional associations

"A coordination group consisting of representatives from the DFB, the DFL and the (21) regional associations, headed by Friedrich Curtius, general secretary of the German Football Association, is meeting on a daily basis to discuss and agree on measures to be taken," announced the DFB on 09/04/2020.

The general assembly of the German League, which met via a video conference on Tuesday 31/03/2020, and extended "until at least 30/04/2020" the suspension of Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga matches.

"Decisions on wide-ranging measures such as suspending the season, cancelling matches or holding them behind closed doors must be strictly based on the directives and orders of the relevant authorities and health experts and must be scrupulously respected," stressed the German Football Association, as the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has claimed the lives of 2,349 people in Germany as of 09/04/2020.
