LFP: resumption of the 2019-20 season in June, beginning of the 2020-21 season on 22-23/08/2020

Resumption of the Ligue 1 Conforama and Domino's Ligue 2 championships on Wednesday 03/06 (scenario 1) or Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17/06/2020 (scenario 2) and beginning of the 2020-21 season on Saturday 22 (Ligue 2) and Sunday 23/08/2020 (Ligue 1), were the measures voted unanimously by the bureau of the LFP at its meeting on Friday 10/04/2020, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe on 14/04/2020.

The new calendar, which must be validated by the League's board of directors and then by the FFF executive committee to become effective, was determined three days before the speech by Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, who announced the extension of the confinement in France until Monday 11/05/2020 and a ban on holding "events with a large audience until mid-July" 2020.
