2.7 manager changes per club from 2010 to 2013

From July 2010 to June 2013, 1,709 manager changes were made by 700 clubs in 43 top European divisions, according to the sixth Club Licensing Benchmarking Report on European clubs by UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), published on 17/04/2014. This represents an average of 2.7 management changes within each European first division club during the 36-month period studied by the European regulatory body.

In five championships (Finland, Lithuania, Sweden, Northern Ireland and Norway) the average number of management changes for the same period was less than one. At the other extreme, it was five or more in Romania, Greece, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Serbia. As for the European Big 5, the Premier League and Ligue 1 (between 1 and 2 management changes on average per club) retained their managers longer than the Bundesliga and Liga BBVA (between 2 and 3 changes) and in particular longer than Serie A (between 3 and 5 changes).
