Covid-19: an auction, a website, logo changes ... equipment manufacturers are taking action

The Spanish brand Joma has launched a website to encourage the practice of sports at home during confinement. On the site, Joma athletes offer exercises for eight different sports. The Spanish equipment manufacturer also presented a new logo to underline the importance of social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic, on 07/04/2020. The four letters making up the name Joma have been separated from each other, similar to what Kappa had done by separating the male and female silhouettes of its Omini logo.

Also on the subject of social distancing, Usain Bolt (JAM) reminded us, via Twitter, that in the 100-metre final at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he was able to keep his opponents at a distance, which is also being used by his equipment manufacturer Puma (see below).

Under the initiative of Vincent Gerrard (handball, FRA), 83 adidas athletes mobilised on 12/04/2020 to conduct the "Athletes and Solidarity" auction for the benefit of the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris - Hôpitaux de France. The initiative raised a total of €107,730.
