Covid-19: "Telling amateur clubs to resume in June was no longer possible" (N. Le Graët, FFF)

"We could no longer imagine resuming. Even for the pro divisions, I think it will be difficult. Telling amateur clubs: 'You can resume in June'... This was no longer possible. I did not want it and, at this point, none of them do either," explained Noël Le Graët, president of the FFF, to the French regional daily newspaper Le Télégramme on 14/04/2020.

All the French football amateur league and district competitions, as well as the national championships of National 2 (men's 4^th division), National 2 (men's 5^th division), D2 women and futsal, and the national youth championships (women's and men's) are now ended "on the date of 13/03/2020 (date of suspension of competitions), regardless of the number of matches played," announced the French Football Federation after a meeting of its executive committee on 16/04/2020.
