Covid-19/Premier League: Tottenham Hotspur FC makes its stadium available for Coronavirus testing

Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) has become the first English club to allow the use of its stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (62,062 capacity), for Covid-19 testing, according to the London club on 15/04/2020, while the Coronavirus has already claimed the lives of over 15,500 people in the UK as of 17/04/2020.

The underground car park at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is being used to carry out tests for "North Middlesex University Hospital staff (London, ENG), their families and dependents" Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 14:00 GMT, according to the club. Ten nurses have been mobilised to carry out the tests on people who will remain in their cars.

In addition, "North Middlesex has relocated its Women's Outpatient Services to the stadium to free up much-needed capacity at the hospital itself to treat patients facing Covid symptoms whilst supporting the redirection of pregnant women away from the hospital during the pandemic," added Tottenham, who have redesigned certain parts of their stadium to accommodate the Outpatient Services (see below).
