Bundesliga: cardboard cut-outs of Borussia Monchengladbach fans to fill the stands at Borussia Park

More than 5,000 fans of Borussia Monchengladbach (Bundesliga) have reserved life-size cardboard cut-outs of themselves for the Borussia Park (59,724 capacity) stands to be used during future matches played behind closed doors, according to the German club on 15/04/2020. All Bundesliga matches played between now and 30/08/2020 must be played behind closed doors (see below).

The "Sei dabei. Trotzdem! "("Stay at home. Be in the stands") campaign, launched on 30/03/2020 by the FMPG fan group, allows fans to order a cardboard cut-out of themselves for €19. Out of this amount, €2.50 will go to the FMPG group, €2 will go to charity and €2 will be donated to the Borussia Mönchengladbach Foundation. The rest of the money raised will be used to finance the cost of manufacturing the cardboard figures.

The first copies ordered have already been installed in the stands at Borussia Park, and each season ticket holder can even choose to have their copy installed at their usual place inside the stadium.
