Covid-19/Italy: FIGC medical committee proposes isolating players and staff for the re-start

Defining a "team group" with players, technical and medical staff and stewards, subjecting everyone to strict and comprehensive tests to ensure that no one is infected with the Coronavirus (Covid-19) which has claimed the lives of more than 23,600 people in Italy as of 20/04/2020, then isolating the entire group in a training camp that has been disinfected beforehand, is the protocol developed by the FIGC's scientific medical committee for the resumption of training, according to the Italian Federation on 15/04/2020.

The committee, chaired by Professor Paolo Zeppilli, FIGC doctor and sports medicine expert, met for the second time on 15/04/2020 "via videoconference in order to draw up the guidelines of the health guarantee protocol for the resumption of training for the resumption of the professional championships."

Priority will be given to the Serie A TIM, ahead of the Serie BKT and Serie C (third division).
