Solar panel company, Wirsol, extends naming of Hoffenheim stadium until 2016

Solar panel company, Wirsol, extended its naming rights contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's stadium (Bundesliga) until 2016, the club announced on 16/04/2014.

Hoffenheim's stadium has been named Wirsol Rhein-Neckar Arena (30,000 seats) since 2011. The contract is valued at €1.2m per year. The venue was inaugurated in 2009 and belongs to the club.

HeidelbergCement (construction materials), MVV Energie (energy), SAP (IT) and Südzucker (food) are also partners of the stadium. They each pay €400,000 per year to be associated with a stand and have visibility within the venue. In total, the club receives €2.8m per year in revenues for the sponsorship of Wirsol Rhein-Neckar Arena.
