Spain: CSD, LaLiga and RFEF agree to resume training "when health conditions permit"

"The CSD, LaLiga and the RFEF have reached an agreement for a return to training in the world of professional football, which remains subject, in all cases, to the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic and the decisions adopted by the Ministry of Health. This will happen when health conditions permit and according to a strict protocol," announced the Spanish High Council for Sports on 20/04/2020.

This announcement follows a meeting attended by Irene Lozano, president of the CSD, Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, and Luis Rubiales, president of the RFEF, at the Palacio de Viana, headquarters of the Spanish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, in Madrid (ESP) on 19/04/2020.

Javier Tebas and Luis Rubiales "also committed to devoting part of the revenue generated by football audiovisual rights to a rescue fund for other federated, Olympic and Paralympic sports. They have also signed a commitment to create a €10m contingency fund, in which they will invite other entities, such as the AFE, to participate, in order to help the most vulnerable athletes," explained the…
