Italy: Gabriele Gravina (FIGC) plans to postpone the end of the 2019-20 season until 02/08/2020

"Regarding the resumption of the said activities (professional football in Italy), in the next few hours, and with the agreement of all the federal components, president Gabriele Gravina intends to adopt a resolution to push the end of the 2019-20 season back to 02/08/2020," announced the Italian Federation on 23/04/2020, following a videoconference meeting between the federal members of the FIGC "convened by president Gabriele Gravina to discuss the ongoing suspension of sporting activities as a result of the Covid-19 emergency."

"This decision will be taken in full compliance with the guidelines issued by FIFA and UEFA and pending any decisions from the Government as well as an in-depth analysis to be undertaken in a timely manner by the various leagues (Lega Serie A, Lega Serie B, Lega Pro) and the AIC so that the rules governing the extension of contracts expiring on 30/06/2020 can be defined," added the FIGC.
