"We've been up over 10% in Twitch audiences for five semesters now. The trend was already very positive before the lockdown. In terms of average audiences, we have seen a 20% increase over the three weeks of the LEC playoffs and more than 50% growth in terms of hours watched (from 03 to 19/04/2020). It is the sport above all that attracts the audience. But of course, the fact that the audience is at home has naturally boosted the audience potential," said Alban Dechelotte, head of sponsorship and business development EMEA at Riot Games, to News Tank Football on 24/04/2020.

"When I think of what we've managed to do in terms of distribution in this situation, I can't help but refer to the Apollo 13 film: achieving the impossible with just tape, paper and cardboard. That's pretty much what happened to us: when we cancelled the show on Friday 13/03/2020, we only had seven days to prepare for the resumption of the broadcast by being online," said Alban Dechelotte.
