Ligue 1 Conforama: Intersport will not extend as main shirt sponsor of Amiens SC after 2019-20

Intersport, a sporting goods distribution network, will not extend as the main shirt sponsor of Amiens SC Football (Ligue 1 Conforama) after 2019-20, according to French media on 27/04/2020. The Swiss company has been a main partner of the Amiens club since 2009-10 (11 seasons).

"Intersport has decided to go through with our contract for the 2019-20 season, but the brand will not extend for the 2020-21 season. The leaders announced it to us a short time ago. I understand that they favor their business and their jobs. We will react quickly, I have already made contacts, it is up to us to reinvent ourselves," explained Bernard Joannin, president of the club and also head of nearly 40 franchised Intersport stores.

In the 2019-20 Ligue 1 Conforama, Intersport is also a partner of eight other clubs: Olympique de Marseille, FC Girondins de Bordeaux, LOSC Lille, Stade Rennais FC, RC Strasbourg, Nîmes Olympique, Montpellier HSC and Stade Brestois 29.
