"The board of directors of Sociedad Deportiva Eibar (LaLiga Santander) has reached an agreement with the players and the staff of the men's first team aiming to reduce their wages by 15% in case the LaLiga Santander season does not resume. If the 2019-20 season resumes in the coming weeks, wages will be reduced by only 2%," the Basque club announced on 24/04/2020.

"The managing director, the sporting director and the technical secretary of the club join this agreement by reducing their remuneration by an equivalent amount. The health, economic and social crisis linked to the Covid-19 led SD Eibar to take this painful decision in order to to minimize the economic impact and the consequences for the club," added the club, while the 2019-20 Spanish championship has been suspended since 12/03/2020.

The payroll of the first team of SD Eibar reached €29.91m in 2018-19, or 49.8% of the club's expenses (€59.97m).
