LaLiga: Sorare (blockchain) offers crypto-digital cards bearing the image of Real Betis players

Sorare, a French blockchain startup, has entered into a license agreement with Real Betis Balompié (LaLiga Santander) from 2020 to integrate club players on Sorare's "fantasy leagues" type platform, on 23/04/2020. Real Betis joins Atlético Madrid and Valencia CF among the Spanish clubs present on the platform of the company.

Sorare offers a platform that allows football fans to collect, exchange and play with digital goods related to football. As part of this agreement, the startup will be able to issue crypto-digital cards representing Real Betis players. 73 clubs are represented on the fantasy league of the Paris-based startup which has sold more than 10,000 cards since its launch in 2018. Shakhtar Donetsk (Premier-Liga, UKR) also joined the platform on 28/04/2020.

"These cards are freely exchangeable on the Sorare market place. Blockchain technology is used to guarantee the authenticity and 'digital rarity' of these cards.
