Olympique de Marseille: foods items distributed at the Vélodrome via Restos du Coeur

"OM Fondation and the Restos du Cœur des Bouches-du-Rhône have launched 'RestOMs du Cœur', a distribution of food parcels under the Ganay stand at the Orange Vélodrome for students and people in need," announced Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Conforama) on 29/04/2020.

"In this period of confinement linked to the spread of Covid-19, people in need have more difficulty obtaining food. In addition, many students from Marseille and its region were unable to reach their relatives and find themselves isolated, far from their families, at their residences. With the closure of the university establishments, it was also the cafeterias of the facilities which closed their doors. Consequently, many students, some of whom also lost their jobs, are having trouble buying food," stated OM.

"Since 23/04/2020, and every Thursday during the confinement period, an center for the distribution of emergency packages has been set up. 250 food packages, representing the equivalent of four meals, have been distributed to people in need and students on 23/04/2020," added the club.
