England: Umbro succeeds Canterbury as equipment supplier of the Rugby Football Union (2020-2024)

Umbro, a brand of English origin belonging to the Iconix Brand Group (USA) since 2012, has become the equipment supplier of the Rugby Football Union (RFU) for four seasons (2020-2024) from 01/09/2020, announced the two parties on 05/05/2020. The partnership will cover all of England Rugby's national teams.

"Umbro will provide the team’s match kit, training wear and off-field kit as well as offering fans a full range of supporter wear including men’s, women’s and children’s ranges from 1^st September 2020. Umbro join England Rugby next season with nearly a hundred years of experience in the development of performance products that have been tried and tested at elite level, across sports," said the brand and RFU.

Umbro succeeds the British brand Canterbury, equipment supplier for the English Federation for the 2012-2019 period (£5m/€5.6m per year).
