Premier League: matches could be broadcast on YouTube (possible resumption on 12/06/2020)

"The idea is that all the games would be available somewhere to watch as they are behind closed doors and YouTube is the obvious platform to show some games for free. Amazon would have the ability to get some games as they are a live broadcast licence holder as well," said an anonymous Premier League source to British newspaper The Times on 04/05/2020.

There are 92 matches remaining in the 2019-20 Premier League. The live rights to 47 of these matches are held by the pay-TV broadcasters Sky and BT Sport, while the remaining 45 have not been allocated due to the TV blackout (a ban on broadcasting live matches on Saturdays between 14.45 and 17.15 GMT). Sky, BT Sport and Amazon are in discussions with the Premier League to broadcast these matches live, according to The Times, which suggested a resumption scenario for the competition by 12/06/2020 (see below).
