Euro 2016: "An attractive schedule and a balanced distribution between the cities" (J. Lambert)

"We got the desired result, i.e. both an attractive schedule for all host cities and a balanced distribution of the 51 matches of the competition between these cities," said Jacques Lambert, president of Euro 2016 SAS to News Tank on 25/04/2014, during the presentation of the match calendar and hosting stadiums of Euro 2016.

Euro 2016 SAS is the company responsible for organising the competition, to be held in France from 10/06 to 10/07/2016. "For the Euro 2016 SAS, the event started long ago, but for France, the real step up for Euro 2016 should begin once the 2014 World Cup (Brazil, from 12/06 to 13/07/2014) is over, i.e. during the summer or autumn of 2014," said the man who is also chairman of the steering committee of Euro 2016.

"We have not yet finalised the ticketing policy of the competition, but the marketing of tickets to the general public will not begin until spring 2015. We still have time to refine the pricing schedule and to discuss the subject," said Jacques Lambert.
