LaLiga Santander: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (May 2020)

The 20 clubs competing in the 2019-20 LaLiga Santander season have more than 506 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/05/2019. This total makes LaLiga Santander the second most popular European Top 5 league on all three social networks, behind the Premier League, with an average of 25.4 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with over 232 million fans, while FC Barcelona, second, with a total of 221 million, are ahead of Club Atlético de Madrid in third place with 27.9 million.

Club Deportivo Leganés posted the best percentage growth on Instagram (+4.9%), Barça on Twitter (+0.4%) and Real Betis Balompié on Facebook (+0.1%) during the month of April 2020.

On Instagram, Real Madrid posted the best growth in absolute value among the clubs of the European Top 5 in April 2020 (+977,113 followers), ahead of FC Barcelona (+877,937) and Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +788,555).
