European Top 5: total value of players (€32.1bn) down 17-26.4% depending on when seasons end (KPMG)

The total value of players playing in the Top 5 European leagues (Premier League, LaLiga Santander, Bundesliga, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1 Conforama), which stood at €32.116bn in February 2020, would fall by 26.4% (to €23.635bn) if the 2019-20 season were to prematurely end in all five countries, and by 17.6% (to €26.475bn) if it were to continue, according to KPMG Football Benchmark, a business intelligence platform dedicated to football from the international network of audit and consulting firms, which published "An analysis of the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on football players' market values" in the main European leagues on 06/05/2020.

The report entitled "Player Value not immune to pandemic" also looks at the impact of the health crisis on the value of players in a total of ten leagues including, the Jupiler Pro League, Eredivisie, Sky Bet Championship, Liga NOS and Süper Lig.
