Brazil 2014: FIFA reveals the location of Fans Fests in the 12 host cities

FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) revealed the location of its "Fans Fests," to be held in the 12 Brazilian cities hosting the 2014 World Cup (12/06 to 13/07/2014), on 24/04/2014.

Implemented for the first time during the 2006 World Cup held in Germany, Fans Fests are designated areas where matches are diffused on giant screens and activities are designed to "carry the atmosphere of the stadium into the city centre."

"The Fan Fests are a wonderful opportunity to experience the World Cup and to show visitors the Brazilian way of watching matches outdoors, in a unique festival atmosphere. The Fan Fests offer the perfect solution to see matches with family and friends," said Ronaldo, former Brazilian international and member of the LOC (Local Organising Committee) of the 2014 World Cup, on 24/04/2014.
